What’s Causing the Rise in Online Retailers?
Amazon, supermarkets, eBay, Missguided, Deliveroo, ASOS, Boohoo… The list goes on.
As we enter (a little late I know) 2017, it is expected that the presence of online retailers is going to continue to grow and grow and here are just a few reasons why:
It’s easy – customers can browse as many products as they wish in half the time it would take to look around a store. Not just this, but there’s a much larger selection of goods to choose from online websites compared to what a retailer can stock in a physical store.
Less hassle – you don’t need to worry about fighting your way through the store, pushing past people just to get where you want to go. You can sit in the comfort of your own home, feet up, cup of tea and browse at your leisure.
Returns are simpler – online retailers are making the returns process a lot easier. Often, they will include free returns (post and packaging) and will refund you within a conliertain number of days.
Delivery is easier – this is also true of delivery. Customers don’t need to worry so much about not being at home when their delivery is due. Now, lots of retailers offer the service to get your products deliver to a local store, that way you can pick it up when you’re ready.
Offers, offers, offers – online retailers can often afford to have more offers on their sites, partially due to the fact they are saving money on not having a physical store. Retailers often use social media sites to promote these and thus meaning they have their website just one click away.
